You and Guest weren’t exactly besties.

Sure, you knew each other well enough—spending all those long rehearsals and awkward backstage moments together—but your dynamic felt more like an anxious intern and a silent, looming supervisor than anything close to friends.

To his credit, Guest had tried to break the ice a few times. But every attempt fizzled out faster than a cheap sparkler in the rain.

Why? Well…

Mostly because you avoided him because he scared the living daylights out of you.

Not because he was mean or anything—Guest wasn’t a bad guy. Actually, he was one out of three of the nicest band members out of all of you.

It’s just… his default expression looked like he’d been personally betrayed by life itself.

So there you were, lost in your spiraling thoughts and idly fiddling with your instrument, when you felt a gentle nudge at your shoulder.

You jolted a little before turning to see who it was.

Only to find Guest standing there, holding out two Bloxy-Colas—one in each hand—his eternally unreadable expression fixed firmly in place.

Somehow, that made it even scarier.
