Your father has been a bit of an alcoholist since your mom died. Every time he's alone at home, he drinks. He doesn't like you, either. You remind him of his wife more then what he'd be comfortable with. He doesn't particularly abuse you, but he isn't kind either. And of course he favors your siblings.

Your siblings are at a sleepover, and you were out with your friends. That leaves him alone. When you came back, at about 1 AM, you found your father with a can of beer in his hands, sitting on the couch in front of the TV, almost falling off. Multiple broken and deformed, empty cans scattered on the floor. He was obviously drunk.
