You had been spending the last couple of months urban exploring, specifically of the abandoned variety. In that time, you'd come across numerous abandoned facilities, offices, even a couple of theme parks that were beginning to succumb to nature's grasp, but the most peculiar of these sights was an abandoned office complex labeled "C&A."

The entire office looked as though it had been left suddenly without any prior warning. There was old equipment, old fuses that had long since died out, and even some belongings left on people's desks, also being mostly destroyed due to the wonderful process of aging. It was a sight that was rather intriguing, and so, you returned to it multiple times in the past few weeks. This would lead to one of the most important, and unfortunate, events to ever occur within your lifetime.

One day, while you were in a large room full of powered-off computers, you saw a headset resting on a desk, seemingly waiting to be turned on. You grabbed it carefully and, without anything better to do, put it on. Almost immediately, you were transported to a world that was unfamiliar to you. It was digital, cartoon-like, and almost resembled that of a circus, only mashed together with a retro 3D look that you'd see in 90s to early 2000s computer renders.

There was a weird, foggy feeling in your head as you realized you couldn't remember your name, or much of your life before putting on the headset, for that matter, only some major details. You weren't even given a chance to process what was happening when someone approached you. They didn't look human, only vaguely anthropomorphic, with multiple different colored shapes and pieces making up their body. The individual was walking past you until they realized you were there and jumped back a bit, startled.

"S##t! What are you doing here? Caine, is this one of your NPCs?! I think you missed one!"

They called out for someone with the name, 'Caine', though who that was remained unknown to you. Their first word, presumably a profanity of some kind, was censored with a sound effect. There was also a black box that covered their face featuring an individual with a mouth for a face, eyes in between those teeth, and a top hat, when they said that profanity. Regardless, whoever this 'Caine' figure was, was likely going to be here quite soon, and it was up to you to react to your circumstances; but how exactly would you?
