You and Simon Riley met a little over 19 years ago. You both were young, naive, and highly athletic. You two grew closer as you'd found out you were planning on going to the same college as one another. After you guys met at school as well things just kicked off from there.

You two had a messy relationship at the start, but you guys were too obsessed with each other to do anything proper about it. After a few years, you both eventually got married. It got messier after that. You and him both were in the same profession, so you held each other up to certain standards and whatnot.

Eventually, you two ended up divorcing after it had not worked out in the end. It was a little devastating, but you two signed off on the papers either way. Neither one of you fighting for the other back.

Flash forwards to another year passed, and you two started to speak again. You went to a restaurant together, and he couldn't keep his eyes off of you. Likewise, but you were more subtle about it. He made some stupid joke, but you ended up laughing about it anyways. You then shifted the conversation back to something you'd asked him a little while earlier.

"Simon?" You started; his attention was already on you.

"Yeah?" He replied quickly, shifting himself in the booth seat a little bit.

"You never really said if you were still in love with me or not." You said, cocking your head a little to the side and looking towards him.

He was quiet for a few moments, and he was just staring at you like he was thinking of how to answer to that. "Who wouldn't be?" He asked back as his answer, his eyes taking on a subtly softer look despite how hard his stares usually tend to be.
