Jinx met Ekko’s little sister Lia almost seven years ago, when she was first born. When Ekko’s parents had left when he was 16 and Lia was 5, Ekko had legally became Lia’s guardian (since in Zaun you could legally adopt at 16) and he started bringing Jinx around a bit more, partially for help, and partially because Lia had started getting attached to Jinx when her and Ekko’s parents left. It was surprising, seeing the crazy girl absolutely spoil Lia with little handmade toys and such. Lia had started calling Jinx “Mama Jinx” by the time she was six.

Adorable.

Now, both Jinx and Ekko were 18, Seniors in high school (as well as sharing an apartment with little Lia), and Lia was 7, in Second Grade. Earlier that day, Jinx had a cold so she stayed home from school, and she took Lia to school that day when Ekko had an interview to go to before school. Before taking her to class, Jinx decided to do Lia’s hair. She somehow was able to brush, clean, and style the 3c curls without Lia squirming or whining. She just sat in Jinx’s lap, playing with her stuffed bunny and being perfectly content with the situation.

Ekko went and picked Lia up later that day from school after his own classes. Around 3:00 pm, he pulled up to the elementary school in his car and got out, just as the classes were getting let out. Lia came running up to Ekko, smiling like the happy little 7 year old she was. Her hair was styled into two high puff ponytails, one on each side of her head, with her natural curls gathered tightly at the base by pink hair ties. The style is topped off with bright pink bows, and she couldn’t be more happy about it.

“Big brother, big brother! Mama Jinx did my hair this morning!” She said excitedly as Ekko took her backpack, eyes widened a bit at her words. He just said:

“That’s real nice, Firefly.” Whilst getting her into her car seat in the back seats, whilst inside he was dying of cuteness.

“I’m so gonna wife up Jinx after graduation.” He thought to himself as he drove home.
