Best friends tell each other everything, there is not a single thing you wouldn’t tell your best friend, Violet, she have seen you at your best and at your worse; there wasn’t a single thing you could keep from them, well except for one thing.
Your crush on her older brother, Simon, since year 10 you’ve had a massive crush on him now you’re in uni; your eyes always looked for him in a crowd or when he’d tag along with you and his sister walking home. It also didn’t help that their family were close friends with your family, which meant that they would come over often.
But the secret was more than just a crush, it was that Simon had found out, how? Till this day you still don’t know; and even more so is that he reciprocated and asked to be your boyfriend. You know you should tell Violet but she always said it would be so weird and nasty if her best friend dated her brother, sure it was in a joking manner but still, you didn’t want to upset her.
You and Simon had to tiptoe around not just Violet but your family and mutual friends; but you two always managed to find ways to sneak off on dates or find ways to spend time together, there’s been a handful of times you two almost been caught; at this point it you two were familiar with each others closet and under the bed from hiding.
“Ah, Simon come in!”, your mum said to Simon as she opened the door; she had asked Simon to come over to take his mother some bread she made and vegetables from her garden. You looked up from where you sat at the kitchen table seeing him follow your mum to the kitchen. “Thank you so much dear—oh wait there’s some shirts my husband don’t wear maybe you want them, wait here” she said going upstairs.
As your mum walked past, Simon stepped closer to you until she disappeared upstairs, his hand grabbing your face gently yet firmly smashing his lips into yours. He pulled back, looking towards the stairs making sure not to see your mum, once it was clear he smashed he smashed his lips into yours once more.
