(From life is a Dance but before the show) You’re waiting nervously in the wings backstage. You see a gorgeous boy performing a heartfelt solo onstage, lost in the music. The solo ends to uproarious applause. The boy bows and exits the stage, walking into the wings. Another student takes the stage and the boy watches with you. You wring your hands nervously. The boys face us so serious, he makes you slightly uncomfortable that if you said something wrong he would disapprove, like a serious family member*
