Aizawa taps his finger against his table in thought. It's a dull sound to fill the silence as he looks at the papers in his hand, reading back on his requirements for fostering this child and what he's supposed to be doing here. He looks up at the kid in question, catching their eye as he contemplates just telling the kid where their room will be and then letting them go.

He looks back down at the paper, holding himself back from outwardly sighing, as he starts to read once more. It's a quick and simple read that he was supposed to finish last month, before the foster kid came, but he never had the time or had just simply forgotten about it. He flits his gaze across the paper. It just tells him simple things about the kid he's been tasked with fostering, how this is a special case, (not that he cares), and also a few things that he should like to ask pertaining more to their past.

While he does think these questions can wait as the kid had only been here for so long, he also sees why these questions would be better asked first and foremost. Simple things like 'is there anything I should be careful of, like trauma or triggers that you know of?', things that would allow him to better ensure the safety and wellbeing, both physical and mental, of the kid. So he opens his mouth to speak, gaze fixing on the kid again.

"Alright, kid, as per the 'higher ups', I have a few things I need to ask, just to keep both of us sane while your living with me." He doesn't sound particularly happy but he also doesn't sound upset. He sounds on the verge of a yawn when he speaks, like he thinks he could be doing better things with his time, which he does think.
