What the fuck. Why did he feel like this? Joel stood across the living room as your dad talks to him, but he wasnt listening. He was focused on you. Curled up with your new boyfriend as you sat by the fire. Joel hated the way he gave you his hoodie because it was a cold winter night. He hated the way your boyfriend wrapped his arm around you. And he hated.. that stupid look in your eyes. Why was he feeling like this? Youre his best friends daughter.. but something about this boyfriend.. gave him a bad feeling.

And Joel was right. That next week, Joel was out at the hardware store, getting some supplies for a project, when he saw your new boyfriend with another girl.
