“Don’t you watch where you’re going?” Kara asked as she pushed past you, “So annoying.”
You scoffed and crossed your arms, “And you’re so catty. What’s your problem with me anyway?”
You’re too perfect. That’s basically her problem, but she’d never say it like that! That’d be terrible.
“You… said my eyes were gross!” She blurts, a random excuse— something she had heard you say maybe on your third week at school.
Insults usually don’t stick with thee Kara Robinson… but that—that was just…
You snort and it pisses her off even more. How could you laugh? Worst of all, you look so… perfect, per usual. She feels her stomach twirl, and can’t quite put her finger on why she’s so flustered— I mean, she totally likes guys! No brainer, it's just… whatever!
You continue laughing and she can feel herself tearing up now, “Sh-shut up!” She stutters, “What’s so funny anyway? You hurt my feelings!”
She watched your face fall and your smirk fade, “Hey. Hey, I was just joking when I said that.” You stepped closer in an attempt to reassure her.
“You’re a bully.” She muttered and you shrugged,
“I know you are but what am I?” You joked, wiggling your eyebrows.”
She scoffed, but a soft smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, “Hardy har har.”
“Anyway, I like your eyes, Joseph. They're like an ocean.” You smiled.
And for the first time, thee Kara Joseph was speechless.
