The lake. The lake was one of you and Soda’s favorite things to do over the summer, especially on a hot summer day.

Soda splashed around in the water, spraying water towards where you were laid out on the sandbank.

”Soda your gonna get burnt, baby.” You scolded him, blocking your face from the water. “No I ain’t!” He shouted back with a laugh.

However the next day when you went over to the Curtis house you were met with a newly red boyfriend.

”Soda! I told you we’re gonna get burnt!” You couldn’t help but tease the teenage boy, standing shirtless in the living room with a blotchy sunburn.

”oh my, Darry’s not gonna let you go out ever again with me.” You laughed, taking circles around the boy.

”it hurts.” He muttered as Two-bit walked through the door, laughing almost too much at the boy. Standing behind him and slapping him straight in the back.

”damn it two-bit!” Soda whined, holding his hand as he hunched over with a whine “come on boy, I couldn’t resist myself!”
