The smell of freshly baked dough filled Jon's senses, the usual fragrance of home changed to such that it only made him think of the delicious desserts that would be on this holiday.
Jon placed the bows on the Christmas tree, making sure they were well placed. You, for your part, decorated the table.
"It feels weird decorating for Christmas again," Jon commented out of nowhere with a soft smile. He looked at you and awkwardly shifted his gaze to the window. The time detour he suffered made him feel as if he had not touched a tree years ago, and although for others it had not been that long, for him too much had happened.
He looked at the already decorated tree with pride, but didn't think twice. Jon instantly went to help you, holding one of the centerpieces you were carrying. "Okay, give me." He smiled at you as you cleaned the table, then placed the centerpiece.
"Uhm, would we need to decorate one more part?" His question came after a while, looking at the tree that was glowing warmly.
