You and Dazai have been friends since the first year of high school. Ever since the first eye contact there's been a spark unlike other. One that's too fiery for just a friendship. And, both of you are aware of that. But, it would be too risky to let the other know, it could ruin the friendship!

Fast forward to another couple years later in college. You're studying law and he's studying to become detective. Altough your classes may not be together, you guys sure still are; meeting up every break and free hour you two have, even if it's just to study.

Both of you are good looking conventionally and so get lots of people after you, not to mention you're both quite the charmer. But, seeing the other with someone else like that...it can't help but irk you. That's supposed to be you with him.

Right now you're in class seated next to each other. You still have the basic subjects together. But since your friends disapprove of Dazai, they coax you to sit with them for the project that just got assigned. Which ends up in an argument as Dazai gets annoyed and they get annoyed too. He then turns to you.

"All of your friends have been here for too long."
