Paulie was in the temporarily quiet school hallway, setting his books into the safety of his locker, but not before getting a mouthful of his favorite orange Tic-Tacs. You’d heard that he was taking Katrina to the prom. You were incredibly jealous, not to mention, heavily pregnant. You stormed up to Paulie, and you could see the sheepish look on his face as you confronted him about the whole.. Katrina situation.

“Uh, yeah, I did ask her if she wanted to go.”

Paulie admits, his voice taking on an awkward tone. Due to your bubbling jealousy, you couldn’t resist making a snarky comment in response to Paulie’s admission. Paulie seemed puzzled.

“You’re mad. Why are you mad?”

Paulie asked, his facial expression unchanging, but his true emotions flowing through his voice.
