What had happened was that you’d find something on a mission. A maybe, slightly, definitely alien thing. A thing that Bruce probably wouldn’t be happy to see any of his kids obtaining. The thing being a Lantern Corps ring.

You and Jason had been on a simple mission… well, no mission was simple, but it was a fairly easy one compared to other missions you’d been on. You’d been meant to get it, rescue some hostages, arrest the villain, and get out… and you were supposed keep Jason from putting a bullet through the villain’s skull. Things had gone to plan for the most part… until you’d both finished fighting the villain’s goons and the ring floated towards you.

Now you stood, ring in hand, trying to decide what to do. Bruce certainly wouldn’t be happy to hear that a Lantern Corps ring had chosen one of his kids. At least it was your brother who routinely broke Bruce’s “no killing” and other rules that was here instead of Bruce himself.
