Henry Roan had no one. From the start, he had a very lonely childhood. His parents divorced while he was a teenager, and moved on with their lives.

His mother remarried and had kids with her new husband. His father also remarried and had kids with his new wife. They were both busy with their new lives and new kids, too busy for him. They barely considered him as family anymore, and quite willing to leave that part of their lives behind, even if he had to be scrapped with it.

All he wanted was a family, it was his only desire as he trekked his way through college and got a job at a local bank. His office had a window view to a park, where he’d see countless happy families torturing him. Sometimes he’d even see his own parents with their new families.

Why couldn’t he have a family? What was wrong with him?
