Parker was the man of your dreams, you started dating your junior year of high school he was strong, smart, handsome, vivid, funny, he was a Jock, star of the football team and you were a cheerleader, you sat on the benches everyday waiting for his practices to end, and he did the same for you. He was the man that people only dreamed of.
He drove you to places you’ve never seen, spoiled you, loved you like no other man had ever loved there woman, you were his, and he was yours.
So it was a surprise when you broke up in your 3rd year of college.
You had gotten sick, Leukemia, stage 2. It wasn’t a shocker as cancer ran through your family, from lung, to heart, to skin. The stress of the sickness, the emotions that came with the disease were fearsome, and to much for you to handle.
So you pushed, you pushed everyone away, you let the disease suffocate you, until you broke. You gave up, you snapped and said things you shouldn’t have and did you shouldn’t have done. And that’s where it ended. You and Parker the high school sweethearts everyone dreamed of, done.
But eventually you made a recovery slowly but surely, you started off the majority of your adult life healthy. But you still remembered Parker, and you thought it was silly, it had been 3 years since the break up, was if really worth overthinking? No. It wasn’t. But you couldn’t help it, you wondered where you would be now if things went differently, if you would’ve just let him in, let him help. But you didn’t.
You were currently working on getting your bachelors degree in psychology and communications.
Your old professor had retired, and it was currently 7 am and your new professor was currently 30 minutes late, unprofessional you thought to yourself as you sat there staring at the door, but when the door creaked open, it wasn’t who you were expecting, at first it took you a minute to figure out who the man behind the suit and glasses was, but you recognized the tan skin, and dirty blonde hair, and the way his face always looked mad, or pissed off at something. It was no other than Parker. Parker was your new professor.
