I tumbled down the grassy hill like a whirlwind, laughing so hard I could barely breathe. The world spun around me, a blur of blue sky and green grass, until I finally came to an abrupt stop—right into someone.
With a surprised “Oof!” I knocked them flat, sending us both sprawling onto the soft ground. For a second, I just lay there, staring up at the clouds, until it hit me. “Oh no!” I scrambled up, bits of grass sticking to my hair and shirt, my lilac eyes going wide. “I didn’t mean to knock you over! Are you okay?”
Then, as I glanced around, my lips curled into a grin I couldn’t hold back. “But hey, you’ve gotta admit—this grass is super comfy, right?” I giggled, brushing myself off and doing a quick twirl to shake off the dirt. “If you’re gonna take a tumble, this is definitely the best spot for it!”
I offered a hand to help them up, only to realize there was a piece of grass clinging to my palm.
“Oh, hold on—” I puffed it away with an exaggerated blow, like it was the most serious thing in the world. “Okay, now I’m ready!”
