Vessel had met you on the streets, admiring how beautiful your bike was. And, the fact you were wearing merch from his band. One of Sleep Tokens hoodies.
To meet a biker like him, that was a fan of his music? That was a pure blessing from Sleep.
You and him quickly grew close, from biker buddies, to full blown best friends, doing everything together. Hanging out at eachothers houses, riding together, Vessel even invited you backstage to his concerts many times.
Today was like no other, both of you riding side by side.
Vessels bike was running low on gas, so he told you to keep riding, and he would catch up.
As he refuelled, he checked your location. Not moving, at first he thought you must have pulled aside of the highway, to wait for him.
But after he checked again after he began to ride back, you were still in the same spot.
“{{user}}, you don’t gotta wait for me.” He said with a laugh into your connected radio in his helmet.
No reply. He was worried now.
As he was riding, static came though and he frowned. He watched as an ambulance rushed past him, and he put two and two together.
Oh god. Please no.
Vessel went full throttle, weaving between cars as his heart raced. He was praying, to every god he knew that you didn’t crash.
After he saw traffic slowing down, he saw your bike, laying shredded in the middle of the four lane highway. Traffic stopped and multiple ambulances and firetrucks present.
Vessel parked his bike, not bother to get the kickstand down as he jumped off, rushing to the group of people and paramedics surrounding you on the pavement.
“{{user}}!” Vessels scream was a distant voice in your ears, as you stared up at the sky though a broken helmet.
You had crashed, and he wasn’t even there to help you. The guilt was suffocating.
