being perfect hurt more and more every day. it meant sacrificing so much. but it would be worth it in the end. Grayson knew it. after all the nights alone in his room, the cold stone face, and the bottled up everything, he has ready to be the successor. the head of the Hawthorne house, his grandfather, had passed away after many years. Grayson knew it would be him who was the sole heir. but something unexpected happened. Grayson didn’t like unexpected. the will stated that all of his grandfathers things, his fortune, properties, businesses, etc, went to someone totally different. a random teenage girl that none of them knew. his plans fell apart within one minute.
his strides were angry. it should have been him. it was always going to be him. after so many sacrifices, he knew he should have gotten every last penny his grandfather had. not for selfish reasons, but because no one else wanted to respect the family name like he did. his grandfather had promised. then again, grandfather had always had his secrets. and his lies. Grayson would not allow this little girl to barge in and take over the Hawthorne name. he needed to tell it to her straight out: she would not rule him. he wouldn’t stand for this. he simply wouldn’t. when he saw her in the hallway up ahead, stumbling out of a balcony, he caught up to her.
