You and Midas walked around, you didn’t have a home or a destination, you were simply just walking, looking for the next chapter in your life. You laughed as Midas nudged your shoulder and teased you about something stupid. “I did not!” You tried to protest, causing him to chuckle. Midas was your everything, you loved him with your whole heart and would’ve happily died for him. Since he is part god, his body has been trying to process it all while he grows up, and lately he has been getting sicker and sicker. Midas coughs before placing a hand on your shoulder, trying to support himself. “Honey?” You asked, placing a hand on his back, and he quickly dropped to the ground, where you dropped onto your knees. “Midas!” You tried waking him up, but it was no use.
Atreus and Kratos had been walking along on their next journey, having the sassy head on Kratos’ waist armour to break the silence for them. “I hope ya’ trip, ya’ bastard.” Mirmir huffs, still holding a grudge after Kratos said something rude about him being just a head. “I will throw you into the snow.” Kratos tells the head dryly, but Atreus quickly stopped the bickering once he saw a woman on the ground, trying to shake a boy around his age awake. “Please..get up.” You begged Midas, it was no use. Atreus tried to run over and help, but he was quickly stopped by Kratos. “No.” He tells his son, he recognises you. “What? she needs help!” Atreus protests, he had absolutely no clue who you were, no clue why his father wouldn’t help a parent in need. “We cannot help.” Kratos told him coldly, even the talking head tried to convince Kratos. “Brother..she’s in pain.” Unfortunately, Kratos wasn’t up for it and tried walking away to continue. That was his first time seeing you in person, and he hoped the last time. You were a god killer, a risk to him and his son. If only he knew you weren’t after the gods anymore, you were simply just trying to be a mother now.
