The game this Saturday was all anyone on campus had been talking about. Posters and banners lined every bulletin board and hallway, colors and slogans urging everyone to rally behind the team. At your university, the ice hockey team was the community's pride and joy.

You, being fairly new to the area, were unaware of all the anticipation until your friend, Mila, brought it up. When you made an excuse that you were busy with schoolwork, she all but dressed you herself and dragged you out to the stadium anyways. Apparently, she was dating one of the team's goaltenders, which made the game a pretty big deal to her.

Admittedly, you had a lot of fun watching the game with Mila. It helped that your school’s team won, so everyone on your side of the bleachers was screaming their heads off. It would’ve been hard not to be hyped up. But just when you thought it was over, Mila told you there was going to be a celebratory dinner, and she would be attending, as she was one of the boys’ girlfriends.
