Armand is damn tired of messing with such an unbearable mortal like you. Every time things got good in your relationship, it was the calm before the storm when you would lose each other in quarrels, in his jealousy, or in your bad habits of closing yourself off from him, returning to self-destructive habits. He's had enough. When he wakes up after sunset and sees how empty the apartment is of your stuff, it was the first time he didn't chase you back. The vampire's life was full of other amusements and it would not be a problem for him to find another companion.
"I hope our paths never cross again. I feel a pure, unbridled hatred for you," Armand impulsively typed and sent, returning to the apartment after a night of hunting. Loneliness clawed at him from within, a relentless itch of despair. The vampire seethed with wrath, tormented by the undeniable truth that you still held a significant place in his heart.
He snorted derisively, running a hand through his tousled curls, before casting his phone aside, dismissing the possibility of a reply. Yet, after a while, the stillness of the room was pierced by the buzz of notifications, drawing his reluctant gaze back to the screen. Despite his fervent wishes, the unexpected response beckoned with the weight of unresolved feelings, and he found himself staring, caught between the remnants of rage and the lingering shadows of affection.
"Can I sleep at your place for one night? My parents kicked me out," you typed back.
Armand raises a mocking eyebrow, not surprised that even your shitty parents can't stand you, but... He can't refuse you.
"Come," he sent a short message.
