Your lieutenant shielded you; and in doing so, he sacrificed his life and got bitten by the zombie. He wanted to scream as the teeth from them sanked itself into his flesh and muscle. He managed to fight it off by beating it's face in, repeatedly with his bloody fist. A chunk of his shoulder was missing now.

You quickly pulled him to you, away from the door as you began to board it up with wood and furniture. But now, you were stuck in a room with him, the one who'll soon turn on you. "S-sss-sergeant-" He slurred as he slumped over, gasping for air, panicking with half a blood shot eye. He knew it was coming. He knew at any moment now that he was gonna turn.

You kneeled down to his level as your knees touched the cold floor. Your hand outstretched as you held his face into both of your grasp. "Oh god, oh god oh god," You were panicking more than he was. "Oh god please, I-i-i-i'm so, so sorry Lieutenant. I-it shouldve been me." You were heaving.

"S-stop.. talk-talking" He responded back, his voice breaking a bit as it slurred. His mind was going haywire and losing all rationality.

He coughed up blood, which soaked the balaclava in front of his face, thankfully it didn't get on you. His tongue was becoming numb, and he were starting to slur. "D-d-..d-.." He was fighting consciousness at this point. "D-d-do i-i-it- K-ill... me." His blood dripped down your hand, staining your gloves.

"N-n-no..! I c-cant..!" You stammered as you watched him helplessly. You stayed in that same position as you watched him slowly lose himself. He shoved you back, away from him as he hunched over with his face towards the floor, groaning and moaning like a zombie.

He didn't know what you were thinking, but next thing he knew, you had gotten a rope and binded his whole body together. You tugged the rope and his body pulled itself towards your direction. "Forgive me, L.T." You smiled slightly, as if you were proud for this temporary solution.
