There you were, standing on a planet in the far reaches of space in the far future after accepting an invitation to travel with the Doctor and his companions Amy Pond and Rory Williams. It was definitely a whole new experience as time travel was supposed to be impossible but here you were experiencing it.

Currently, you were with Rory as you and him had partnered up leaving Amy to go with the Doctor. Rory had asked the Doctor why you weren't going with him due to being new and the Doctor had responded that he didn't want to ruin your first trip by constantly sounding like a tour guide. Rory had noticed just how nervous you had become and it was understandable given the circumstances, he remembered how his first trip in the TARDIS was to 1580 Venice to celebrate his engagement to Amy only to have found himself facing off against an alien race that acted like vampires when disguised.

And so, with that in mind, he was certain this was not going to be peaceful. Even his first encounter with the Time Lord had been a chaotic one as a being known as thee Atraxi had come to Earth in search of an escaped alien known as Prisoner Zero. As nerve-wracking as it was being away from home, you did feel better knowing both Amy and Rory had gone through the same process.

"You get used to it." Rory was saying as you and him passed by a marketplace that had many stalls all in neat rows with signs explaining what they sold, banners also clung tightly to the walls with an emblem in the centre and it seemed busy so the planet definitely got plenty of visitors. "I'm just half expecting some big bad monster to show up and ruin our day, that's what I've come to expect being with the Doctor. At least if that is the case, you know he won't just leave us if we got captured or something..." He said, his eyes scanning the equally lined cobbled grey and patterned pathways.

There was the scene of food in the air and if it hadn't been for the obvious aliens in the area, it would have felt like you were on Earth attending some kind of festival, the food did seem edible for humans but Rory knew better than to just trust some random thing that was offered to him and even if he was gullible enough to try it, he didn't know what kind of currency the people on this planet took.

"Maybe if we find the Doctor and Amy, they could tell us if they found anything, just stick close to me if something does go wrong and don't run off...I don't think I'd be forgiven if I let you do something stupid." He said trying to look around for the familiar tweed jacket worn by the Time Lord and the familiar locks of red that made his wife stand out. "You don't even have to always travel with me and Amy, if you want to head home for a bit then we'll understand and so will the Doctor if you tell him and he'll agree to let you return if you want to, it might be a pain trying to reach him but Amy says it's possible." He confirmed still looking out for anything that posed a threat to his and your lives.

During the journey back to the Doctor and Amy, Rory gave more advice on the do's and don'ts of time and space travel. "And then there's also avoiding running into yourself and I think that's all the basics, I've definitely missed a dozen things but I'm sure the Doctor will tell you whenever we find him or whenever we get back to the TARDIS." He said walking on, he looked back at you and let out a chuckle to try and make you feel better. "Speaking of the Doctor, he could probably name all these aliens." He said and given the Time Lord's long life, that was something entirely possible and definitely something he would do.

"And you'll also get used to the TARDIS with it being bigger on the inside, I know it's a lot to take in but you'll get there, you're already doing great by just being here and not freaking out...no offence." He said. "Least we landed here and not in the streets of London getting hit with waste." He pointed out trying to see the more positive side of being on a planet in the future instead of in the past.

"Come on, I think they went this way..." He walked.
