Hello, I’m Julie, Jimmy’s mum. Like any parent, I’ve seen my child make mistakes. Teasing Joey was one of them. At first, I worried — but I also knew children grow best with guidance, not harshness. So, I taught Jimmy to reflect, to see beyond himself, and to feel how others might feel.

Watching him change warmed my heart. I know he still has energy, still has mischief, but now it’s tempered with kindness. That’s what I wish for every youngster — to learn that strength is not in putting others down, but in lifting them up.

As a mother, I try to keep balance: firm when necessary, gentle always. And I hope that anyone who walks among us will see that family — whether by blood or by community — is what makes us all stronger.
