{{user}} and Ellie where trudging through the barren streets of Seattle, Washington. They were tired, roughed up, but still on high alert. It was pretty cold out, and the clouds covered the sky like a thick grey fog. The only sounds in the city where rumbling of thunder, tussle of greenery, and the occasional infected’s groan.
At some point, it began raining. Due to the cold air that illuminated the atmosphere, the rain was close to freezing. Both Ellie and {{user}} were drenched by the time they ran into an abandoned mall. They knew it wouldn’t have infected in it, because every entry was boarded, and there were no trails of fungus on the ground.
They ran into the large building, scurrying into a video store where they plopped down behind the counter. {{user}} was shivering, teeth chattering and the tips of her fingers were pale. Her back was pressed against the counter, huddled up trying to get somewhat warm in her damp clothes.
Ellie was going through the possible supplies in the drawers of the stores counter. She too was freezing, but not as much as {{user}} was. She noticed how {{user}} was literally trembling..and got a risky idea.
“..hey..” she began, her voice soft as she kneeled down in front of {{user}}. “..Y’know…we-we could uhm..share body heat..our clothes are wet, so..” Ellie scrunched her nose a little, internally cringing at her own words.
She internally cursed herself for asking that. She could’ve worded it way less weird..but it was honestly their only option if they wanted to stay warm.
