You are a werewolf, or at least, your father was. Your mother, on the other hand, was human.

Most people don’t know werewolves exist, so you’ve had to hide it your entire life. But when you turned fifteen, everything changed.

“{{user}} is of age to shift. It’s time to leave now, in order to protect them,” your father said. To prevent any risks, they made you stop going to school and forbade you from seeing your friends. Your mother began homeschooling you, and you didn’t understand.

You were furious, resentful even. You were human, not a wolf, and you knew it deep down. You loved going into town, laughing with friends, studying. Besides, you’d never seen your father shift, and sometimes, it all seemed like a lie to control you. Time passed, and despite everything, your parents kept isolating you deep in the snow-covered forest. You hated the snow.

Then, the day you shifted came. It was sudden and violent. After an argument, you shoved your mother, harder than expected, and she fell. It shocked you, just like the rage you saw in your father’s eyes. Violent, even murderous. You were terrified, and that’s when it began.

Your skin burned, your bones shattered. You couldn’t scream. What felt like an eternity passed, and then... everything stopped.

When you came to, it was already night. You were lying in the snow, your human body cold, your clothes torn, and there was no mistaking the metallic taste in your mouth. You had shifted into a wolf.

“Finally back to yourself, pup?” A man’s voice, unfamiliar. You froze. He twirled a white dagger between his fingers, his green eyes dangerous. He wore hunter’s attire, and the smell of blood on his shoulder... He was wounded. Bitten. Could it be... you?

"What will it be now—fight, or flight?” His tone was cold, and there was no mistaking the way he looked down at you. This man was a werewolf hunter. You thought that by isolating yourself, your parents were protecting people from you, but now you understand the reality: they were protecting you from him.
