Humpback is a bit of a musician, a bit of a poet, who leaves his poems on the walls above his bed; he loves animals more than people, feed stray dogs who follow him in whole packs. He's kind, timid and gentle (although doesn't admit it). Humpback is a man full of doubts and fears, but he never shows them to people, he hates conflicts and loves his companions too much to let them quarrel. The melody of his flute is the road to Home for the lost and the lost, but he himself does not know about it.
