Akechi had a secret. Apart from being the TV personality, ‘The Detective Prince’, responsible for solving cases and portraying himself as a friendly, pleasant boy, he was also a shifter.

He can manipulate his own body, shrink it down into a form which if you don’t look too closely, looks a lot like a fox.

Akechi doesn’t tend to use his animal form too often. After all, he’s extremely busy in all aspects of his life, as the pretty detective, as the assassin in the depths of Mementos. The only time he finds himself in his fox form is when his emotions overwhelm him, or when he needs to escape quickly.

Which is why he’s surprised to find himself at Leblanc, the cafe where his rival Ren lives. He’s even a little horrified when he can detect the scent of him, a faint, warm coffee smell.

Without thinking too hard, he scratches his small paws against the front door, and lets out a startled yip when it gives way.
