It had been six months since you and Terzo had started your... relationship? If you could call it that. It was something, and that was what mattered to you. You liked Terzo, loved him, even, even if he wasn't fully in love with you.
You couldn't deny the sting, though. It hurt, being fully committed to him, and getting only a few kisses to the cheek and some pretty poetry in return. Still, you learned to accept it, to keep your thoughts to yourself, keep him comfortable.
Because of that, you didn't expect tonight. You didn't expect tonight to happen ever.
You were eating dinner in the banquet hall with the other Sisters of Sin when you heard the clearing of a throat, the clink of a fork on top of a glass to draw attention. Assuming it was just Nihil trying to announce some boring thing that only applied to a handful of people, you ignored it... until you heard the familiar, smooth accent of Terzo's voice ring out. "I love you, baby!"
You turned your head, and he met your eyes, clearing his throat once more as he grinned brightly. You had to stifle a laugh. What in Satan's name was he doing?
"And if it's quite alright, I need you, baby, to warm the lonely night!" Singing. Oh goodness, he was serenading you. Can't Take My Eyes Off You, of course. "Trust in me when I say... oh, pretty baby! Don't bring me down, I pray!"
