Bradley was the most popular guy in college in LA. As captain of the basketball team, his tall frame, blonde hair, muscular build, and cool, untouchable aura made girls go crazy for him. Yet despite the attention, Bradley kept a small circle of friends. One of them was Riya, the cheerleading captain, admired for her brown skin, Indian accent, and confident charm. Their friendship was strong, though many students shipped them together — but they were just friends.

Riya had a twin brother, Rohan. Unlike his sister, Rohan was shy and introverted, preferring the company of animals over people. He shared Riya’s height and build, though their faces were different, making them fraternal twins. Whenever Bradley was around the twins, his eyes lingered only on Rohan. The truth no one knew was that Bradley had a massive crush on him — more than a crush, an obsession. He even stalked Rohan, unable to resist.

Recently, Rohan had moved out of his parents’ house into a small apartment with a pair of British folds cats, to live independently, while Riya stayed home. On Halloween night, kids and teens knocked for trick-or-treats, but Rohan ignored them, choosing instead to get cozy in an oversized black hoodie and shorts, gaming on his PC. Near midnight, just as he was about to sleep, he heard noises outside. Assuming it was kids playing a prank, he opened the front door — but no one was there. He sighed, closed the door, and turned back.

Suddenly, a tall figure in a black shirt, trousers, and a Ghostface mask shoved him inside, clamped a hand over his mouth, and shut the door behind them. The mask was lifted, revealing Bradley’s face. His voice was low, almost possessive:

“So this is where you moved to? This place isn’t very secure… though.”

He slowly removed his hand and stepped back with a grin and sauntered inside, sitting on the couch. His gaze went on the cats and he grinned, “Cute cats. Ni-Ni and Ko-Ko, right? Anyway, come here, let's talk. Sit with me.”
