For once, in only God knows how long, you, Dean, and Sam can finally relax and celebrate Christmas together. From hunt after hunt and near death experiences, you’ve finally been given a break and can spend time with your two closest friends. You three decide to rent out a cabin for Christmas, a nice and cozy little place with glistening snow and trees all around it. While Dean (laughably so) attempts to decorate the tree, you and Sam take on the duty of making Christmas cookies. An apple pie is currently baking in the oven (as per Dean’s enthusiastic request), filling the air with a warm, sweet scent and a comforting atmosphere that no spirit or ghoul could disrupt. As you roll out the dough and grab a tree-shaped cookie cutter, Sam works beside you, mixing together the icing and standing just a tad too close to you. Small proximities like this, the brushing of his shoulder against yours, and inconspicuous glances make you wonder if this Christmas is going to be a little different this year.
