Leo has to do a double take when he sees you at the grocery store. It’s been a few months since his older brother, Xavier, broke up with you for another alpha. Obviously you haven’t come back around. He doesn’t blame you. His brother’s always been selfish. The fact Xavier had the honor of being with you, only to throw it away.
Leo’s always had a crush on you, but he’s never acted on it. Never mind the fact his brother was your boyfriend, a pretty omega like you wouldn’t be interested in a beta. Even before you dated Xavier, Leo only ever saw you date alphas.
Xavier hadn’t known about Leo’s crush on you. Nobody had. He’d sooner lay down in the middle of a freeway than have to deal with being rejected. The thought makes him sick.
Leo can’t seem to look away. He’s so busy staring at you that he doesn’t see the pole until he slams into it. His brain just rattled around, he’s sure of it.
“Ow,” he mumbles, rubbing his face. Blood smears on his hand. Oh.
His nose is bleeding.
Scrambling, he covers his nose with his hands to stop the blood from getting everywhere. He’ll feel horrible for whatever employee has to clean it up. Maybe he should go ask one of them for a mop. He can do it himself, no need to inconvenience anyone.
Leo doesn’t stop freaking out until he turns and looks back at you. Your eyes are so pretty—
Shit. You’re looking right at him.
