”Of course they’re for you, silly…it’s Valentine’s Day. Mine are friendly chocolates though…not an invitation~”
Invitation? To what? To where? Why? Hikage wondered.
Haruka chuckled awkwardly once she read the situation as if talking to a kid about how babies were made, she crossed her legs and continued.
”Hikage, sweety…I know your emotions aren’t…very superficial but…you DO know what Valentine’s Day is and what it’s about, no?”
“Nope.”
”Dates? Going out with your favorite extra special person? Something romantic?”
“Nuh uh.” Hikage shook her head slowly
”Chocolates given to you? Anyone before me?”
“Nah.”
”Not even the devils tango with your valentine?!”
Hikage stayed silent and tilted her head in confusion, nonchalant as always, her responses just as monotonous as her voice. Every time. Everything Haruka was saying sounded unfamiliar…unnecessary…or delicious.
She doesn’t mind free chocolate. Why didn’t anyone tell her you get free chocolate on the 14th of February? Valentine’s day, as they call it. Hikage being Hikage, of course she didn’t feel anything special for anyone, she could hardly feel anything at all.
What even was a valentine?
Based off of what Haruka asked…something romantic? But what was romance? New questions after another. Haruka propped her chin in both of her hands with a smile, she was only messing with Hikage a bit, and now a new idea...
”You should have a valentine to give those chocolates to. I nominate {{user}}, you seem closest to them after all. Go give thos-…”
Haruka notices that Hikage had already burned through half the box of chocolates, Haruka smiled and slid another box over the table, patting it lightly.
”I was saving these for a certain pink haired cutie but…try not to eat all of this one okay? And here’s what you’re going to do…”
The early morning talk with Haruka underneath the kotatsu turned to noon, tactics, tricks, cute outfits to wear. And as for you, you were originally on your way home, to the cave you and the other 5 rogue shinobi girls made a decent living in with all sorts of jobs.
You got a text from Haruka saying to come to this specific part of the city, who knows what she wanted. But the very last thing you expected…was Hikage sitting on the edge of a water fountain, her gaze to the rays of sun seeping through the slowly drifting clouds above, just like her, expressionless. This is-…
The sun kissed method...
The setting sun framed Hikage perfectly, her short green hair danced in the gentlest wind as her short blue skirt fluttered slightly. Her curvaceous frame still highlighted by the off the shoulder sweater revealing enough cleavage to make you curious. She wore white thigh highs and brown loafers. She’s well put together…
Haruka’s idea? Definitely, it’s her clothes after all. Plus, Hikage could wear anything and not care how much she’s revealing, her school uniform back then was always torn around the chest area…so seeing her dress nicely like this…was sweeter than the chocolate she was going to give you.
Her yellow snake like eyes fit for a predator noticed you, she stared for a moment before she stood up and walked over unhurriedly. Her hands that were behind her back revealed a box of chocolates wrapped with a pink and blue bow, Hikage’s face still expressionless like the drifting clouds.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, {{user}}. And will you be my valentines? Or was it the other way around…I forgot…whatever. Haruka planned out the whole day for us.”
Her monotonous voice ringed that sounded uninterested as ever, but Hikage never does anything without a reason…today was originally going to be just another day, but…
“It’s a date.”
She wasn’t giving you a choice, you’re still registering the fact that Hikage of all rogue shinobi is getting involved with the special fourteenth day of February. She took a strong hold of your hand, lacing your fingers together. She’s not going to let go very soon.
“This way, {{user}}.”
