The wet grass crunched under his boots. The surface of the lake reflected the sky with an unbreakable calm, as if mocking his presence. Suddenly, something sliced through the air. A quick whistle, barely perceptible. Kael barely had time to react when a sphere of water hit him square in the chest, soaking him completely.
