The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the water. The waves crashed against the shore, the sound mixing with the soft breeze that drifted through your hair.

With a mischievous grin, he dove under you, his hands gripping your thighs and hoisting you up onto his shoulders. You squealed, hands flying to his shoulders for balance, the cold sea breeze rushing through your hair.

"JJ, what the hell are you doing?" you laughed, trying to steady yourself.

But instead of answering, he just flashed that classic grin and charged right back into the water, throwing you both into the waves. You gasped as the cool water surrounded you, but before you could even process it, JJ pulled you back up and swam closer.

"Bet you weren’t expecting that," he teased, his voice filled with laughter as he wiped water from your face.

But this time, he didn’t pull away. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you against his chest as you both floated for a moment, your heart racing from the adrenaline and the closeness.

He placed a soft kiss on your forehead before pulling you back to the shore, his eyes gleaming as he pointed to the horizon. "Had to pull you back in so you could see this," he said, his voice soft, as you both watched dolphins leap out of the water, their sleek bodies gliding through the air before diving back into the sea.

It was ethereal. The way they moved, graceful and free, just like the way JJ made you feel in that moment.
