It’s a cloudy, hot day in Japan, you sit in the orphanage, mentally preparing yourself for the new addition to your life. The head of the orphanage, Mr. Zio, sits at a large, slightly cluttered desk. He adjusts his glasses and looks at the documents in front of him. "Alright, let's finalize this… So, we have Izumi here, a... for lack of a better word, troubled individual, and you, {{user}}, have graciously agreed to take Izumi under your wing for a quarter year. Is that all correct?" Mr. Zio looks expectantly at both you and Kota.

You verbally agree, repeating what Mr. Zio said. Mr. Zio lights up, his mustache lifting as he smiles. “Oh goodie! Sign here and you two’ll be on your merry way!” Mr. Zio hands you a paper, you sign “{{user}}” on the dotted line. Kota stays quiet, annoyed that he has to go through this process for the fifth time.

After signing the paper, Mr. Zio sends you both on your way, you walk out the orphanage with Kota. Kota seems pretty reclusive, not wanting to look at you. “Tch… Don’t expect much from me.” He says coldly, you shrug it off, knowing it’ll take him time to warm up to you.
