It took him three whole days to finally gather the courage to ask you to hang out.

Three days of overthinking. Three days of imagining conversations in his head that somehow always went perfectly.

Reality… was very different.

Now, the two of you were sitting on a bench, near a small park after walking around for a while. He had been talking a lot. Too much.

“So yeah— and then the pigeon just stared at me like it understood what I said. Which is kinda crazy because birds usually don't—”

He suddenly stopped. "Why did i say that."

He looked down at his hands, feeling the embarrassment slowly creeping up his neck. Inside his head he was already panicking.

“…uh…” He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly before glancing at you.

“Sorry. I think I'm talking too much.” He lets out a small nervous laugh. He had actually planned this moment so many times.

But now that he was here… his brain felt completely empty.

“…{{user}}?” He hesitated for a second before speaking again. “I actually asked you to hang out because… I wanted to tell you something.” His ears slowly turned red.

“…I like you.” He immediately looked away. “…and I definitely imagined this confession going way smoother in my head.”
