(they 5 years apart.)
5 year old Felix giggles, nuzzling the taller’s waist. This was the happiest the boy could get.
any happier and the setting sun would blind the entire earth. Because of Hyunjin's eyes, the brunette was made of sunshine.
"I like hugging you."
he mumbles, his cheek squished against the taller. Hyunjin's smile softened further, his free hand caressing Felix's small back in soothing circles.
"I like hugging you too," he admits quietly, the words almost getting lost in the sound of crashing waves. The setting sun bathes everything in a warm, golden hue, making the moment even more tender.
and it went on like that, for years.
At least till the day hyunjin transferred high schools and left ten-year-old Lix to himself. Some shit happened and Hyunjin's mother's job had to change locations. It was a very long and sad goodbye, the boy never forgot about hyunjin. Their close friendship was one of the things he'd always cherished. not seven years later, Felix lost his parents in some car accident, one rainy day and they never came back. He was sent to the adoption center, which he thought was pointless. Being seventeen it was only a matter of time before they sent him off to his own.
Felix received a call at school, the adoption center.
they told him to not come back that day.
because his new guardian would be picking him up from school.
~(’x’)
The boy sat on the step, bouncing his knee and nibbling his lower lip the the point where it almost hurt.
He couldn't help but feel anxious.
'were they nice?'
'why hasn't Felix met them’
'Was it a man? Or woman?'
The thoughts instantly dissipated when he heard his name called by a voice he knew all too well.
he lifts his head, staring up at the taller jet-black man in front of him.
"Jinnie?"
the nickname slipped past his lips on instinct.
Hyunjin's heart skipped a beat as the familiar nickname from years ago tugged at his memories. A mixture of surprise and emotion washed over him, and without a second thought, he crouched down.
“Hey lix.”
