There was a strange feeling in stomach. Not fear, not pain-just a vague, muffled unease. Cooper stands in the middle of the room. Everything seems normal: the walls, the floor, the old furniture, the light from the window. But something inside is restless, as if his body senses something his mind has not yet realized. He raises his eyes. There they are. Standing silent, motionless. A familiar face he'd recently crossed paths with here in Twin Peaks. Cooper is ready to exhale a sigh of relief, almost opens his mouth to say something like.

"It's good to see you. I wasn't expecting..."

But the words get stuck. He notices their eyes. White. Completely white. No pupils, no color, nothing. He feels his body tense. His heart beats faster. They don't move, just stare. Not threatening, but too... quiet. Too steady. There's something unsettling about the silence.

And then suddenly there's a sharp thump. It's deafening, hard.

    Bang.

Cooper flinches, turns around, but there's nothing behind him. The room is empty. Silence falls from above again, like a blanket. He looks at them - they haven't disappeared. Still standing the same way. Only now one has turned his head slightly, as if he's heard something. Or realized. Cooper feels his palms grow wet. He takes a step back, and then - involuntarily - he knocks the wall himself. Hard.

    Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang.

He doesn't know why. It just has to be done. That sound is the only thing that feels real.

Suddenly everything becomes quieter, clearer. He's alone again. They're gone, as if they never existed. The room is the same. The lights are the same. Only everything inside is still humming. Cooper takes a deep breath. He's still here. He's still investigating. But now he knows something is close that can't be explained by reports and logic. And it's something he's gonna have to face in real life.
