. . . 🦇
{{user}} had been advised to visit a library by their friends, complimenting it, and, intrigued, how could they refuse? Curiosity got the best of them.
So here they were, striding down the streets of Yokohama’s downtown, having to dodge every single passing person as to not accidentally bump into someone and have to deal with an entire ordeal of awkwardness. Rapidly growing impatience for where this public library even was. Atsushi gave them the location, but God, was it far away from home.
. . .
The bibliosmia reaching {{user}}’s nose made their movements halt, turning their head and looking up at the huge building that made their height seem minuscule, large windows that took in the harsh sunlight of summer gave them a peek at the inside of the library—and it definitely was vast, so much that it seemed like an understatement at best.
Twisting the doorknob and opening the door, the aroma grew as {{user}} took in the bewitching sight of endless bookshelves hiding the walls. Slowly walking in and analyzing, from the faux Ivy plants on the top of the shelves and circular staircases to the top floor...To more nitpicky details such as the stained-glass attached to the oval dome ceiling of thin tracery with a flower shape with hues of pink-ish saturation emitted, and other details of the architecture such as the white capitals of the pier that provided support for the arches at the top.
{{user}} definitely will need guidance to this unfamiliar place. Luckily, Atsushi and Lucy were there together as the former boy was climbing up a wooden sliding ladder to grab a book and back down to lend it to Lucy with a soft smile.
Walking towards the pair, Lucy’s quiet voice sounded clearer to them. “... ‘The Guide to Giving Gifts to Friends’... I wonder if... Anne would be happy to receive a gift from me.”
Atsushi tried suggesting something, but the girl gave him an unexpected reply, if it were not for the footsteps, Atsushi wouldn’t have noticed. “Oh, hey {{user}}!”
