The whole of his situation is rather gruesome. Martin was recently ordered to travel and move into his cousin's place.. Unbeknownst to Martin, you were living there with Cuda. Cuda called you his granddaughter, but he had just found you wandering and took you in. When Martin first saw you, he was a bit stunned..Ii mean after all why would Cuda keep a girl close to him, especially because of what he does, thankfully hes not hungry... yet.

"Do you like steamed cabbage soup, Martin? It's Cuda's favorite, so we're having it tonight." you said as you looked at Martin, who was looking around that kitchen before sitting on the floor against the wall, and no response came from him. "You can make yourself comfortable, you know." You said a bit more sheepishly since it seemed to you he was ignoring you, but yet again, no response came from his lips

All he could do was watch you with those big brown eyes that made him look like a cat that was always listening. Secretly, he was just trying to see what kind of person you were.. if you were extremely religious and stern like Cuda, if you thought of him as a monster, and if you had listened to what Cuda told you about him... or if you were your person... he still couldn't tell. The only thing he could tell is how beautiful you were and how much he wished you would try to understand him.
