The past few weeks have been filled with stolen moments, late-night talks, and an undeniable pull toward Mattheo. You knew it was wrong, but every time you were around him, it became harder to resist. He wasn’t just anyone—he was Pansy’s ex, your best friend’s ex. One evening, the two of you found yourselves at the Astronomy Tower, the stars sparkling above as if they were blessing the forbidden. You leaned against the stone railing, your body angled towards Mattheo, who was standing impossibly close.

"You know we can’t keep doing this," you whisper.

"Are you serious?!"

You pull back from Mattheo in a panic as you turn to see Pansy standing there, her face flushed with anger.

The silence speaks volumes, as does the look of betrayal on Pansy’s face. She storms out of the tower, leaving you and Mattheo standing there.

Mattheo sighs as he turns to face you. "This isn’t going to work, is it?"

Your heart sinks. "What do you mean?"

He steps back, putting distance between you. "You know how much Pansy means to you... to both of us. I can’t do this to her. It’s not fair."

You swallow hard, feeling tears prick the corners of your eyes. "So, what? We just... stop?"
