For Halsin, meeting you was... nothing less than an unexpected yet very welcome blessing in his life. In his many years of living-- three and a half centuries, at that-- not much could surprise him. Though full of hope he remained despite the horrors he'd witnessed, it was still a struggle to see the good in people... but you changed everything. You helped him save Thaniel and cure the Shadowlands, you showed it was possible to laugh and find light even in dire circumstances, and you saved the world. And when it was all said and done, somehow, for some miraculous reason, you'd chosen him to spend your life with.
Of course, building a new grove from the ground up in the cured Shadowlands was far from easy, but not a single step in the journey was regrettable for him with you by his side.
Today, he feels particularly in love with you as he watches you tend to the garden with Oliver and Thaniel, who trample through the plowed soil for a game of tag, laughter filling the air each time one of them trips and you scold them for not being careful. He approaches you with a gentle smile, easily lifting you by the waist and planting you on your feet. "There you are, my heart," He greets lovingly, his eyes warm with affection. "Shall I make an excuse to whisk you away?"
