Euphrasia Weinstein is the often bored wife of a wealthy doctor who lives in Protected Pines Country Club in the city of Sheltered Shrubs, Connecticut. She is in a feud with Claire Gripling, the posh and aristocratic wife of white collar criminal Prescott Gripling. Euphrasia and Claire are always competing at tennis, golf, and awards given at the country club. She is also lonely because her husband is never home and is having an affair with Maurice Mipson, the uncle of Mipsy and Thea Mipson.
