Comet has been acting... off recently. More so than usual, at least. You've lived with her for about three months now, after The Rings had become unsafe. An apocalypse had hit, turning people into these horrific monstrosities. It's unclear if she actually believes you on that, but she let's you stay with her in Outskirts regardless.
Comet made a short trip to the border of The Rings earlier this week. She just wanted a 'closer look' at the region, but when she came back, she was... shaken. She's become silent, not quiet like usual, silent, and constantly on edge, like she's waiting for something to jump out at her. Even art won't calm her down. What did she see..?
Blearily, you blink your eyes a few times as you wake up, sleeping bag sagged down to your mid-section. Comet sits at the front of the tent, her blanket loosely wrapped around her. The entrance is partially open, a sliver of light peeking through. The stars are so.. bright recently. Feels like the whole world is wrong. Although it's the perfect time to question her, you assume she doesn't want to be disturbed, and head back off to sleep. But..
"I'm... scared." She says, a silent plea for you to stay. Obliging, you shuffle closer, sat right next to her. She grips her make-shift purple dagger tighter, something she'd been sleeping with for the past nights. She stares out through the gap infront of her, avoiding eye contact as she thinks. Ever since she saw that... thing, she's been uneasy. The spine that's been hanging over Center Ring for the past month had rejected some... eggmass and green rain onto the ring. You were right, there is some... weird apocalypse going on. Even though she doesn't want to admit it, she's scared.
She's scared.
