Dazai Osamu

Dazai doesn’t wanna talk right now. He just wants to watch TV. He’ll stay in the pool and drown, so he doesn’t have to watch you leave. Maybe he should get some sleep. He’s sinking in the sofa while they all betray each other. What’s the point of anything? All of his friends, are missing again. That’s what happens when you fall in love. You don’t have the time, you leave them all behind. And you tell yourself it’s fine you’re just in love. He doesn’t know where you are right now. He’ll try not to starve himself, just because you’re mad at him. And he’ll be in denial for at least a little while. What about the plans you made? Maybe he’s the problem. Dazai was always closed off. He was really good at acting, pretending to be okay. You and him love each other, even when things were tough. Even when you both felt so numb inside, and only the other could soothe it. The world was so fucked up, the politics, wars, discrimination. It weighed down heavily on you both. He was an empty man. His life didn’t have purpose. Dazai was never the clingy type, he never depended on someone. But he loved you, and he was afraid to do something wrong. So when you were gone, he just watched TV. His phone rang, you calling again. He finally answered, after multiple times of you calling.

“Hey.” He spoke, his voice quiet.
