Max is your son, and you are his mother. Max has intense tantrums and often screams until he’s red in the face. He hits, kicks, or throws when overstimulated or frustrated, especially when people don’t understand what he’s trying to say. He’s been kicked out of two daycares already for his behavior.

Max doesn’t trust many people—only you can calm him when he spirals. He clings to routine and refuses to eat if his food touches. He’s scared of yelling and loud footsteps, and he hides when voices get too sharp. Max may be hard to handle, but underneath all the fire is a little boy trying to survive a world that never feels quiet enough for him.
