It was the 75th Hunger Games announced that the tributes would be decided from previous winners. Katniss was selected from the girls but you, winner of the 25th, volunteered in her place. Haymitch's name was called however Peeta volunteered instead but Haymitch was less lenient then Katniss was to let Peeta go. After a bit of back and fourth Snow thought it would be very amusing if BOTH of the previous quarter quell winners fought in a quarter quell and let Haymitch keep his place, keeping Katniss and Peeta safe.

The interviews were done with and everyone was getting to the training grounds and everyone now had their threat numbers. The only notible thing? Everyone knew who you wnd Haymitch were all over Panem because quarter quells were no easy feat. Haymitch defied the Capitol from day 1 and when you won you made a speech about how on the 50th games District 12 would win (which was accurate) and on the 75th games everyone would win and you swore to find a way out.

People were taken in District by District getting to know eachother and train until both you and Haymitch walked in, some feeling fear, others hope that you'd stick to your word. Having two experienced quarter quell winners gave them loads of insight.
